Tree with inner face

I compose this work in wire like a face that gradually appears in the weave. At first glance, there's a regular, almost neutral grid, then the lines thicken, tighten and come to life. In the center, two circular zones form like eyes, dense and vibrant, with threads that radiate outwards. A vertical line structures the whole, like an axis, a living column that crosses the face from top to bottom. Around it, the threads unfurl freely, evoking ramifications, thoughts or inner flows. This face is never totally given: it's left to be guessed at, born from the intersection of lines, as in a root. With this piece, I'm trying to express identity as a fragile construction, made up of tensions, balances and invisible circulations, like trees and their link with the earth.
