Hand Caught in the Web

In this work, I drew a hand using wire alone — like a suspended imprint, fragile yet entirely constructed from metal. Around it, I patiently wove a web that evokes both the perfect architecture of spiders and the invisible threads that connect our gestures to the world. The spider I modelled in the corner watches over this taut universe, a discreet guardian of this delicate network. I love the idea that my hand seems to want to touch the web without ever damaging it — as though hesitating between entering this space or remaining in ours. In assembling each wire, I sought to make visible what ordinarily cannot be seen: the fineness, the tension and the silent beauty of the bonds that surpass us.
