Beneath the Circle, the Silent Step

In this wire work, I weave a kind of bridge between the real and the imaginary. I intertwined the metal to create an openwork grid — almost like a curtain that filters our gaze — then inserted this large green circle: a moon, a gateway, an interior space. At the centre, I placed the silhouette of a solitary passer-by, an antique image found and integrated like a memory crossing time. I love the idea that he walks in this in-between, caught within the structure I have built, advancing among the voids and solids of the wire. It is my way of evoking our own interior crossings — those that no one sees, yet that shape our path.
