Blue Cosmos

Wire

This wire work measures 1m20 by 1m20. I worked the wire like a drawing stretched in space, starting from a very dense, almost obscure central core, from which everything unfolds. The lines radiate, overlap and intersect, like strata of time or rings of growth. I punctuated this movement with little touches of blue, placed freely, like fragile markers along the way. The square format enabled me to contain this expansion, while still allowing the eye to circulate. For me, this piece speaks of cycles, of anchoring and opening, of what is patiently built up from a living center.
