Sculptures

In this sculpture, I've fashioned a seated figure, gathered in on itself, as if caught in a moment of withdrawal. The material is thick, rough and layered, almost like a hand-modeled sack, with its folds, tensions and hollows. I've left a rope visible, gently slipping out to the side, like a fragile link to the outside world. The face is deliberately simplified, almost erased, so that the body speaks for itself. For me, this work evokes waiting, silence and an inner presence, anchored in matter and time.
