Chair of Branches

In this work, I transformed a chair into an almost vegetal presence. I superimposed black lace over the structure, like a fragile skin that both covers and reveals. Plaster branches emerge from the backrest, shaped like extensions of the body, and I've punctuated them with white beads, like little flowers or seeds ready to bloom. I like the contrast between the delicacy of lace and the rigidity of plaster, between the domestic object and the organic impulse. This chair is no longer made to sit on: it becomes a standing body, traversed by memory, nature and time.
