What we offer

Paintings

I paint this work using a combination of oil paint and oil pencil, like a dark surface from which three presences emerge. The human forms are constructed from vegetal motifs, textures and layers that make them up and run through them. Faces appear, almost dissolved in matter, as if made of leaves, cells and organic traces. Words are inscribed around them: we make sacred what we offer. They give rhythm, meaning and depth. For me, this work speaks of gift, transmission and transformation. What we offer takes on value, becomes sacred, because it is carried by the body, by memory and by the living.
