Promise of light

I paint this work using a combination of oil paint and oil pencil, like a warm surface crossed by words. The text is inscribed in the heart of the material: the sky, the earth, promises of light. Around it, floral motifs appear, superimposed, like a discreet garden surrounding the phrase. Warm, golden and ochre colors convey light and memory. For me, this painting is a simple, poetic statement: confidence in the earth, in the sky, and in what continues to illuminate despite time.
