The woven bird

Paintings

I compose this work by mixing oil paint and oil pencil, like a garden structured by language. A dark grid runs across the surface, holding a multitude of plant motifs, painted in strokes and impressions. Words appear at the top and bottom, colored and cut out, like a sentence that frames the eye. For me, it's a written landscape: nature organizes, repeats and contains itself, while the text itself becomes matter, rhythm and breath.
