Fossil Imprints

I paint this work in oils, using leaves as tracing paper to create imprints. Their organic forms appear on the canvas like fossilized traces, preserved in the material. The ochre and white tones evoke stone, sediment and the layering of time. By printing these sheets, I transform the surface into an archeological terrain: a canvas-landscape where forms become fossilized memories, silent witnesses of a past life.
