Equestrian Memory
In this burlap painting, I worked the surface as a space to be half-opened. I assembled fragments of old sacks, stitched and mended, then created this central vertical opening, almost like a breath in the material. Around it, the original prints - numbers, animals, words - remain visible, accompanied by hand-sewn embroidery and signs. I like the idea of a painting that's not just something to look at, but something to feel: the canvas becomes a thick skin, marked by time, where the interior reveals itself without ever giving itself away completely.
