Faces marked by Time
In this burlap painting, I didn't try to make faces appear in an obvious way. I worked with the material as a living surface, folding, crumpling, sewing and gathering into fragments. Little by little, shapes emerge, almost in spite of myself, like presences buried in the fabric. The bags still bear their marks, their numbers, their traces of use, and I let them interact with the relief. Here, the burlap becomes a thick skin, marked by time, a sensitive territory where something surfaces without ever imposing itself.
