Battle of Hearts
In this burlap painting, I compose a scene peopled with small male figures arranged on fragments of sewn sacks. Each character bears a red heart on the chest, like a simple and universal sign. The raw matter of the canvas, marked by time and old inscriptions, creates an irregular landscape in which these silhouettes seem to advance or encounter one another. With these dolls and fabric fragments, I seek to evoke a common humanity. The hearts become the thread of the work: a symbol of life, emotion and bond between individuals. In this textile artistic composition, the characters form a silent community where matter and gesture tell a story of humanity and sharing.
