Family Chronicles

In this artistic burlap composition, I gather fragments of old sacks that I sew and assemble to create a living surface. The folds of the fabric, the printed letters and the visible seams become the very structure of the work. On this raw matter appear small dolls and hand-sewn silhouettes, like characters emerging from the canvas. These figures form a small community. Each has its own expression, its gesture, its place in the whole. With these simple materials — burlap, wood, thread and fabric — I seek to create a contemporary textile artwork where matter tells a human story, made of memory, tradition and silent presences.
