Copper totem pole
In this totem, I worked the jute canvas like a supple, almost twisted column, which I patinated with warm earths and dark traces. The form rises slowly, without rigidity, like a body straightening itself. At the very top, three small faces appear, huddled side by side, barely free of the material, like a shared thought. I like this silent verticality, this totem that doesn't impose itself but simply holds on, charged with discreet presences and memory.
