Red Totem with two faces

In this burlap totem, I've worked with verticality as a stretched body, made up of sewn and painted strips, marked with dark and red traces. Jute retains its roughness, its memory of agricultural sacks, and I let it speak through the folds and seams. At the top, two faces emerge, simple and silent, surmounted by wires that escape like hair, roots or thoughts. I like this double presence, both fragile and upright, anchored to the ground but open to the air, like a figure of passage between earth and spirit.
