Line of green bamboo
In this work, I worked with Japanese paper bamboos rolled in shades of green, which I arranged in a long, dense band on a black background. The stems criss-cross, bend and respond to each other, while a lighter line runs through the center like a breath. I like the sensation of a vegetal frieze, almost musical, where the eye circulates without stopping. For me, these bamboos don't represent a real forest: they're an inner landscape, a rhythm, a slow pulse born of the repetition of the gesture and my closeness to nature.
