Breathing bamboos

In this work, I've assembled my rolled Japanese paper bamboos to create a dense, almost vibrating surface. The lighter stems emerge in the center, like a breath, while the darker bamboos surround and contain them. I played with variations in patterns, hues and inclinations to create a rhythm, a circulation of the gaze. For me, this is not a real forest, but an inner landscape: a breath made of repetitions, tensions and silences, where paper becomes living matter.
