Inner field

Japanese paper

In this work, I've arranged my Japanese paper bamboos rolled up over the entire surface, like a dense, vibrant field. The gray background accommodates these dark, repeated, sloping forms, almost beaten by the same breath. Each bamboo bears its own markings, its own lines, but it's their accumulation that creates movement, like tall grass stirred by the wind. I love this feeling of immersion, between order and disorder, where the eye loses itself. For me, it's an inner landscape, silent and rhythmic, made of patience, repetition and breathing.
