I created this large-format work, measuring around 120 × 120 cm, using rolled Japanese papers that I call my "bamboos". Arranged vertically, they evoke tightly-packed branches and dense, almost immersive vegetation. This composition is directly linked to nature and my garden, which I love deeply and which nourishes much of my work. Light and darkness are in stark contrast: the light areas emerge from the dark background, as if pierced by an inner light, while the shadow reinforces depth and mystery. This tension between light and dark creates a landscape that is both real and interior, between plant presence and intimate sensation.
