Box of Intertwined Figures

I created this box using a combination of detailed black-pen drawings and paper collages. The plant motifs form a dense, almost invasive backdrop, in which figures and faces, sometimes masked, appear. On one side, the pen drawing structures the whole with a network of fine, repeated lines. On the other, collage and color underline certain shapes, like signs or presences emerging from the material. The whole works by superimposition: leaves, faces, symbols and motifs interweave, creating a rich, almost labyrinthine composition, where the eye travels between human figures and plant decor.
