Nocturnal Bamboo Box

I created this box like a landscape that you open. On one side, I painted a soft, matt surface, where vegetal traces appear, like branches or grasses seen through a veil. It's a silent, almost nocturnal painting, inviting contemplation. On one side, I've installed rolled-up Japanese papers that I call my bamboos. Lined up close together, they form a dense, rhythmic field. The black, white and silver motifs interact and catch the light, giving the impression of a graphic forest, both fragile and structured. This box brings together paint and paper, inside and outside, calm and density. For me, it's an intimate space, a small closed world that evokes nature as I carry it inside me: an inner garden made of memories, materials and light.
