Autumn Foliage Boxes

Japanese paperBooks & Objects

I based this box on an autumn landscape I observe in my garden. On one side, the orange-toned foliage evokes the leaves that change with the season. On the other, a field of bamboo appears, made up of Japanese paper rolled and assembled to form vertical branches. The colors oscillate between warm orange and silvery gray, reminiscent of leaves with two sides: one luminous, the other more muted. The collage and assembly of papers create a structured, rhythmic, almost silent forest, inspired directly by plants and their cycles.
