Emerald River Necklace

In this necklace, I let green take over as a matter of course, dense and vibrant, almost vegetal. I sewed the pearls and crystals together like living matter, in successive layers, until I created the impression of luminous foliage. In the center, the set shape acts like a mineral heart, a focal point around which everything is organized. This green connects me directly to my garden, to sap, to what grows quietly but forcefully. It's a necklace that I see as a talisman, a fresh and profound presence, worn close to the body.
